The Department of Commerce & Accountancy, one of the oldest department, take pride as a jewel on the crown of Vikas College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Vikhroli, Mumbai as it started its journey way back in 1986, from the date of inception of the College. The department has been a versatile area of the study right from its beginning
The department has programmes at graduate, post graduate and research levels. The Department offered B.Com. B.Com.(Accounting & Finance), M.Com. (Advanced Accountancy), M.Com. (Business Management), and Ph.D. (Business Policy & Administration) as regular programmes to the students of not only of Mumbai but also across the country.

1. B. Com, (General): – Three Years Integrated (Six Semesters) Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce
2. B. Com, (Accounting & Finance): – Three Years Integrated (Six Semesters) Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with specialisation in Accounting and Finance
3. M.Com. (Advanced Accountancy): – Two Years Integrated (Four Semesters) Master’s Degree in Commerce with specialisation in Advanced Accountancy
4. M.Com. (Business Management)): – Two Years Integrated (Four Semesters) Master’s Degree in Commerce with specialisation in Business Management
5. Ph.D. (Commerce): – Business Policy & Administration

B.Com. (Accounting & Finance)
This programme is designed for the students;
1. To make them specialised in the field of accounting & finance
2. To prepare them in managing accountancy and the financial part of business
3. To motivate them to pursue higher studies in the field of Accounting & Finance
4. To promote them to become professionals/managers/ entrepreneurs/ accountants.
M.Com. (Advanced Accountancy)
As a Master Degree programme in Commerce with specialization in Advanced Accountancy, it is designed for the students:
1. To provide comprehensive knowledge in the areas of accounting and finance at advanced level
2. To build a concrete footing for advanced studies in Commerce and to stand with the requirement of business sector, Research, Chartered Accounting, Taxation etc. and make them fit for employment.
3. To enable the them to formulate business problems with innovative solutions thus, moulding them into future visionaries, management leaders that are compassionate yet efficient
4. To provides them an extreme and rigorous base for teaching, research, and allied business administrations.
