About the Department
- The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Vikas College of Arts, Science & Commerce is committed to strengthening students’ quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and analytical skills. The Department offers Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) and Vocational Skill Courses (VSC) in Mathematics and Statistics exclusively in the First Year of the undergraduate programmes, as per the curriculum framework of the University of Mumbai.
- In today’s data-driven and technology-oriented world, foundational knowledge of Mathematics and Statistics is essential across disciplines including commerce, science, social sciences, and management. The Department aims to equip students with practical mathematical tools and statistical techniques that enhance employability and academic competence.
